You have to love a Legislature that stands up for your right to go where no customer has gone before.
LD 232 would make stores open their restroom facilities to the general public.
There's a big "IF" in this law. It works only if the needy has a recognized medical condition. It doesn't look like "just had a few at Gritty's" or "my kid never goes before leaving the house" aren't recognized. It's gotta be something like Crohn's disease.
Of course if you have a decent grasp of the symptoms of a bowel infection, you can talk your way into it.
This doesn't apply if the business doesn't have three employees on staff (I think in case you need an honor guard) or it would be a safety hazard to comply. Considering many workplace bathrooms are hazards in themselves, this thins your options.
But it's a start.
