Anyone that has ever read the book "We Took To The Woods: by Louise Dickinson Rich should do this tour. This tour is a gated historical tour in the Rapid River Region. We saw Forest Lodge, Middle Dam, Pond in the River, the old Carry Road, a 160 year old sporting camp, I think it was called Lakewood Camps. We saw so much more. The guide, (Mountain Woman Guide Service) that took us was excellent. She made lunch for us on Louise's porch over-looking Rapid River. This tour is a must.
