I've been hearing about the Common Ground Fair in Unity for years and finally went last year. What a great fair! It's put on in farmers' fields by the Maine Organic Farmers and Growers Association (mofga.org). My favorite parts were: booths on green options for energy, transportation, home-building; food stands with healthy food; the sheep herding demonstrations (those dogs are amazing!); the stone-cutter; and the gorgeous hand-crank Dutch organ.
