Kennebunkport

Dock Square, Kennebunkport.
Kennebunkport is one of the most popular tourist towns in the Southern
Coast region. The Bush family has been vacationing here for years (a point
that has helped the town gain notoriety), but presidential ties
aside, Kennebunkport offers a range of activities to keep your
interest.
If you arrive in summer, attendance at the beach goes without saying.
Parsons Beach, though a mile long and good for birding, offers scant
parking. Check
out our beach listings for nearby alternatives.

John Middleton and reporter Ray Routhier drive a 1910 trolley car that was used in New Haven, Connecticut before arriving at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport.
For a bit of history, don't miss the Seashore Trolley Museum,
which boasts over 200 cars in its collection. There are narrated tours,
scenic rides, and a museum shop (for that take-home memento). See other
heritage ideas in this region.
In good weather, whale watching or scenic water cruises are also a
great option. Trips usually run from 2-4 hours and very often offer
money back if no whales are spotted. Kennebunkport is also a great town
for deep-sea fishing. Check
out our charter list here.
Golfers will find plenty of courses to choose from in the area. Check
out our golf course list here.
