Dubbed "The Beautiful Place by the Sea," Ogunquit draws tourists
back year after year like this couple from Vermont.
This southern Maine tourist town is best known as a picturesque
vacation destination with sandy white beaches (including the three-mile
long ocean cove of Ogunquit Beach), upscale restaurants, rocky coast,
and a vibrant artist community.
The cliff-side Marginal Way is a scenic footpath that borders the
Atlantic Ocean. With over 30 benches located along the gentle mile-long trail, there is no shortage of opportunities to slow down and
admire the ocean view.
Be sure to check out the unique draw-footbridge located in
Perkins Cove, at the southern end of the Marginal Way path.
