Fall

One word: leaves. Just in case the fall foliage isn't a compelling enough reason on its own to explore the Maine landscape, there's more.

A few good reasons to explore Maine in Fall (besides the foliage): Apples—fresh pies, sweet cider... we've got it all. Hiking and Camping—crisp air, starry skies. Quieter towns—towns that are busy in the summer get quieter. Enjoy the peace. Hunting and fishing—be sure to get your license and check the regulations. Biking—Perfect time of year to try the Acadia National Park carriage roads. Corn mazes—A great excuse to be a kid again.
